Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov Full Title Fight 6th October 2018 : khabib team attacks conor
Conor McGregor has called for a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov following his controversial defeat at UFC 229 after speaking publicly for the first time since the night ended in a mass brawl inside the T-Mobile Arena.
Nurmagomedov started the near-riot at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas when he jumped out of the cage following his fourth-round submission win over McGregor in the evening’s main event, in order to start a fracas with McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis.
In the ensuing chaos, a teammate of Nurmagomedov jumped into the Octagon and punched McGregor.
UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov says he’s sorry for the post-fight fracas following his UFC 229 victory over Conor McGregor on Saturday night.
“I want to say sorry to the athletic commission,” Nurmagomedov said at the UFC 229 post-fight news conference. “Sorry to Vegas. I know this is not my best side. This is not my best side. I am a human being.”
Speaking after White appeared, Khabib said: “I want to say sorry to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
“This is not my best side. He talked about my religion, my country, my father. He came to Brooklyn, he broke bus and nearly killed two people. So why do people still talk about me jumping over the cage? I have shown respect.”
